Bussing home from Dance
This is actually from 2 days ago... but the whole night just struck me as being something quite special and unexpected. I love spontaneity. =)
So the story went a little something like this...
Korean dance training took place for about 2 hours straight. Hard core training. And I mean Hard core with a capital H. A lot of fun, quite exhausting, quite hilarious, but improvements were seen. Exciting stuff!
Had to bus home from the city. At 8.30pm. Late-ish. Quite dangerous in my books. Dodgey Northbridge/Wellington bus port area. You get the picture.
Fist incident that was awesome- a crew of boys who were obviously hip hop dancers/breakers had a boom box playing a classical piano piece. Soft, echoing through the night at the empty bus port. So relaxing. Two of them started dancing- one popping and locking, the other miming. Intensely interesting. Couldn't take my eyes off of them. One of them had a good dress sense. Not sure if he was hot. Anyway. After about 5 minutes of entertainment, they were told to turn off the music by Transperth policemen. How annoying. It wasn't even a nuisance, but rather just splendid music and dancing. Grr. Totally enjoyed it nevertheless!
Next, saw about 3 cockroaches on the way back home. Just randomly running along the pathway, crossing my steps. Creepy.
As I caught the 102, I had to walk up the road to my place. On a nice, cool night like it was then, it was fantastic. Utterly fabulous. The moon was about 3/4 full and brightly lit, the starts were winking, crickets were chirping... the walk back seemed a lot longer than my jogs in the morning. Couldn't complain though. Walked pass an Italian restaurant, it had jazz music blaring softly, people's muffled mingling voices, waiters asking politely in the authentic Italian accent- "Would you like some pepper?"
Then there was home. Home sweet home. My little cottage.
What a difference day and night makes of a place so familiar. Love it.
Hui Hui ^^b
